Policies

Editorial & Publishing Policies

GRAP follows clear, ethical, and transparent publishing standards across all journals. Below is the complete policy framework used by all GRAP journals.

Editorial & Peer Review Policy

  • All submissions are screened by the editorial office and handled by qualified editors.
  • Double-blind or single-blind peer review is used depending on the journal’s policy.
  • Decisions are based on scientific quality, originality, ethics, and relevance.
  • Editors must avoid conflicts of interest and act transparently.

Ethics & COPE Compliance

  • All GRAP journals follow COPE guidelines for editors, authors, and reviewers.
  • Misconduct (plagiarism, fabrication, manipulation) is investigated per COPE flowcharts.
  • Corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern are issued when needed.

Plagiarism & Similarity

  • All submissions undergo similarity checking before review.
  • Authors must cite properly and avoid self-plagiarism or image/data reuse.
  • High similarity or unethical reuse may lead to rejection or retraction.

Open Access & Licensing

  • All GRAP journals follow full open access publishing.
  • Standard license used is CC BY 4.0 unless otherwise stated.
  • Authors retain copyright while granting GRAP publication rights.

Data Protection & Privacy

  • Personal data of authors, reviewers, and editors is kept confidential.
  • All manuscript files are stored securely within the OJS system.
  • Data is used only for editorial and publishing purposes.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

  • All GRAP journals currently charge no APC or submission fees.
  • Any future fees will be announced transparently and before submission.
  • No hidden charges or optional paid services are used.

Corrections & Retractions

  • Minor errors are addressed with corrections or errata.
  • Major ethical issues can lead to formal retraction.
  • Retraction notices remain permanently accessible.

Manuscript Withdrawal Policy

  • Authors may request withdrawal before final decision.
  • Accepted papers cannot be withdrawn except for justified reasons.
  • Any financial implications (if fees added in future) will be transparent.

Archiving & Digital Preservation

  • GRAP aims to preserve all published content long-term.
  • LOCKSS/CLOCKSS or institutional repositories may be used.
  • Authors may deposit the final published version in repositories.

Complaints & Appeals

  • Complaints are handled confidentially and fairly.
  • Appeals must provide clear justification and evidence.
  • Cases may be reviewed by a different editor for neutrality.
